Market Share (SubMS)
What is Subscriber Market Share?
Subscriber Market share is often shortened as SubMS. SubMS is the ratio that describes the relationship between the subscriber base of a telecom company and the accumulated subscriber base of all the telecom companies in the country.
How to calculate SubMS?
SubMS = Subscriber Base of a telco / total subscriber base of the country
Example:
Telco “A” has 45 customers. Telco “B” has 30 Customers, Telco “C” has 25 customers. What is the SubMS of each of the telco?
Answer:
Total number of customers = 45+30+25 = 100
Hence,
SubMS of A = 45/100 = 45%
SubMS of B = 30/100 = 30%
SubMS of C = 25/100 = 25%
